South African Wedding Photographer based in George & Nelspruit
Ola & Maria were married by Dr. Jan Vink on the 4th of January 2012. They travelled all the way from Sweden with their lovely children, Jim & Nova, to get married in South Africa where their intimate ceremony was held at the breathtaking Serenity Forest Eco Reserve near Malelane, Mpumalanga.
I was invited to Leopard Creek near Malelane by the van Dyk family on Christmas Day 2011 – where we did their family photos on the renowned golf course. Piet & Jana’s cute 9 month old baby boy Frans was without a doubt the star of the day and quickly became my favourite prop to use in everyone’s shots!
Faan & Elmien were married by Rev. Christo Oberholzer from Heidelberg on the 17th of December 2011. Their wedding was held at the scenic family owned Nora Falls Lodge situated between Nelspruit and Sabie, Mpumalanga.
Sophia Hutcheson, one of Elmien’s very talented friends, not only styled her hair beautifully but also played make-up artist and florist on the day! Impressive! Elmien’s dress is from DHGate whilst Faan was dressed by Coquis. The popular DJ Ricardo did what he does well.
Jaco & Lin-Marie got married on the 16th of December 2011 at the family owned La Luna Guest Farm between Malelane & Barberton in Mpumalanga. Rev. David Lessing, also a family member, conducted their personal ceremony.
Lin-Marie’s hair was styled by Gena. Her pretty little dress is from Forever New (with her own changes made) whilst the guys were dressed by Edgars & Mr Price. Clough Craven (Lin-Marie’s uncle) and his wife Annamarie provided guests with a succulent “potjie” and fresh salads.
Well known owners of Minuteman Press in Nelspruit, Johan & Magda Barnard, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on the 6th of December 2011. Magda had the awesome idea of doing a photo shoot in her original wedding dress – which by the way still fits her perfectly – and I had the privilege of taking their photographs!
We went to Kaapschehoop (where they got engaged) and also did a few shots between their litho printers at work afterwards. Herman van den Berg commented on their photos on Facebook: “Beautiful Johan, your wedding tie still fits!”

Rev. Pieter van der Walt conducted their ceremony on this very misty and rainy day – the perfect Kaapschehoop weather.
Lize-Marie’s hair was styled by Susan (+27 82 857 6297) and her make-up done by Louisa of Avroy Shlain (+27 72 805 7596). Her stunning dress is from Bride & Co and her jewellery from American Swiss. Arno was dressed by Eurosuit.
The incredible Protea and other flower arrangements was the hard work of family. The very funny Mr. Nico Cross was the master of ceremony and had everyone laughing the entire day. Lowveld Sound Promotions took care of the sound & music.
I joined Hannes & Cindy with their two adorable children Dylan and Gizelle for a picnic at the Lowveld Botanical Garden in Nelspruit on the 12th of November 2011. Here are a few of their images.
Donovan & Leandi got married on the 5th of November 2011 in the beautiful chapel at Bundu Country Lodge, situated between Nelspruit & White River. Rev. Herman Charles conducted their special ceremony.
Leandi’s elegant dress is from Catherine’s Collections whilst her jewellery is from Julie’s Pearl Creations. Her hair was styled by Studio Hair (+27 15 781 3664) and her make-up done by Charlene van Wyk. Donovan’s suit is from Black Tie. Tertia van Wyk ensured that the wedding’s planning was perfect to the finest detail and videographer John Tilly was there to capture the memorable day onto digital video. Flower Market supplied the lovely flower arrangements and Lowveld Sound Promotions the music for the evening.
Thulani & Kholofelo tied the knot on the 15th of October 2011 at Moholoholo Ya Mati near Hoedspruit in South Africa’s Limpopo Province. Their ceremony was carried out by Pastor Derick Seagers from the Rivers Church in Sandton.
Funny man Augastine “Kwetepane” Shotholo (+27 76 758 9476) was the MC at the reception whilst the very talented band The Morning Breeze (+27 82 392 6226) from Lebowakgomo entertained the guests with their variety.
The dedicated Zinhle Kubeka (+27 82 773 1494) ensured that Kholofelo’s make-up was perfect throughout the day – thanks!! Kholofelo’s hair was done by Tiny Mathomu (+27 78 192 2163) from Phalaborwa. Her beautiful dress came from Lee Chan Wedding Creations (+27 82 717 5984) in Braamfontein whilst Thulani’s suit was from Carlo Pignatelli (+27 11 784 8121) in Sandton City.
Their wedding was perfectly put together by Sewela Mokgalabone (+27 72 306 5238) of Ekurhuleni Events in Polokwane, flowers were done by Marita Martin (+27 82 808 6748) of Hoedspruit and decorations by Pulane Mokgalabone (+27 82 399 3288) of Phalaborwa.
Mzwakhe Ntombela (+27 71 417 7799) of Cutaway Media captured the big day on video.
Alwyn & Geraldine’s wedding was held at the beautiful Umbhaba Lodge near Hazyview on the 8th of October 2011. Rev. Johan van Rensburg conducted their ceremony in the tranquil setting of the chapel on the dam.
Geraldine’s hair was done by Angelique at Sandton Hair Design (+27 13 7513292) and her make-up by the friendly Melanie-Anne Joannou (+27 84 326 1688). Her stunning dress and jewellery came from The Wedding Box whilst Alwyn was dressed by Euro Suit.
Wendy from Function Design effortlessly put everything together, including the gorgeous flower arrangements. Sound Systems looked after the entertainment for the evening.
